Efficient storage of pavement signs with high quality graphics is achievable on
those that feature a protective screen.
Most pavement signs are weighted at the base giving them a low centre of gravity,
meaning that they are more stable in windy positions. The pavement sign with weighted
bases can be over 20kgs in weight or more. Because they are heavy some pavement
signs have built in wheels to assist movement, positioning this also helps bring
them in at the end of a day's trading.
Some pavement signs have snap shut frames allowing the advertising media to be changed
quickly. There are some pavement signs on the market that feature a locking mechanism
to secure the media or artwork against vandalism and theft.

A-Boards
One of the most common types of pavement sign is an A-Board.
- Most A-Boards are actually suitable for both indoor and outdoor use: economy versions
aren't normally as robust as their quality counterparts and may wear more quickly
when displayed on a pavement.
- Most are made from powder coated steel tube or aluminium for greater durability
in the variable British weather.
- A big benefit of A-Boards over other pavement signs is that they will fold for easier
portability and storage, much appreciated given pavement signs are typically brought
indoors overnight.
